The Market Access area of GEM Platform is looking to recruit an Energy Trader.

What you will do:

• Execute the purchase and sale of energy, fuel, and CO2 financial products by operating in organized markets and/or bilateral/OTC to implement proprietary trading and hedging strategies defined by GEM.
• Adapt quickly to market volatility, turbulence, regulatory changes, and product mix changes.
• Manage counterparty relationships.
• Analyze reports and presentations related to commodities markets and area trends.
• Develop and improve trading procedures and support tools.

Employment type: Full-Time

Who we are looking for:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Management, Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
• Up to 5 years of professional experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of commodities markets and at least one traded product by EDP is valued.
• Understanding of how financial markets, especially commodities, work, including available assets.
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments.
• Sense of urgency and prioritization skills.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Attention to detail and
  - solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong networking abilities.
• Fluency in English; Spanish is valued.
