The company manages Road Infrastructure and provides public services for the Infrastructure of the National Railway Network (RFN).

The Railway Network Directorate (DRF) of Infraestruturas de Portugal aims to ensure railway safety by maintaining its assets.

This vacancy aims to strengthen the current team of the Special Structures Department – Bridges Unit, within the DRF, primarily responsible for the maintenance, rehabilitation, and reinforcement of Works of Art.

The Department manages over 2, 400 Works of Art, including Bridges, Viaducts, Underpasses, and Hydraulic Passages.

Responsibilities

1. Prepare, launch, and manage rehabilitation and/or reinforcement contracts for Railway Bridges, ensuring contractual compliance;
2. Monitor and supervise projects, guaranteeing quality and safety;
3. Analyze projects related to rehabilitation and reinforcement of Railway Bridges;
4. Ensure structural sizing during maintenance works, performed by internal teams.

Requirements

1. Higher education in Civil Engineering – Structural branch;
2. Minimum of 5 years professional experience in structural projects;
3. Knowledge of structural calculations, construction methodologies, and equipment used in civil and metalworking construction;
4. Active registration with the Engineers’ Order or Technical Engineers’ Order, or willingness to register;
5. Residency in the Lisbon metropolitan area;
6. No vertigo (working at heights);
7. Driving license;
8. Willingness to travel nationally for work;
9. English language skills;
10. Effective integration into ongoing projects;
