We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join an insurance industry project, focused on designing, building, and maintaining internal developer platforms. This role plays a key part in improving developer productivity and operational excellence through automation, scalability, and modern Dev
Ops practices.

You will work closely with product and engineering teams to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable platform solutions, leveraging technologies such as Backstage, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and evolve internal developer platforms using Backstage and related frameworks
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Git
  Ops workflows to enable efficient and reliable deployments
• Integrate and manage container orchestration solutions (Kubernetes, Docker) within the platform architecture
• Collaborate with product, development, and operations teams to deliver
  - quality platform services
• Drive automation initiatives and apply SRE principles to improve service reliability and resilience
• Ensure observability, monitoring, logging, and security are embedded by design in platform solutions

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, Dev
  Ops, or similar roles
• Strong
  - on experience with Backstage and platform engineering tools
• Proficiency in Kubernetes, Docker, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Solid understanding of CI/CD methodologies and modern software delivery pipelines
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and incident management frameworks
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in
  - facing environments

Nice to Have

• Experience with
  - native environments and
  - cloud strategies
• Knowledge of security best practices applied to platform engineering

Additional Information

• Language Requirements: Fluent in English and Portuguese
• Location: Lisbon city center, Portugal
• Work Model: Hybrid – 3 days
  - site, remaining days remote
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour workday between 09:00–18:00 (flexible by ±1 hour)
