Our office is located in Alfragide, just outside Lisbon, with easy access and
- site parking. It’s a dynamic area with strong connections to both industrial and tech communities in Portugal.
The role
Reporting to the Engineering Lead, you will join the hardware team, contributing to the development of mechanical and electronic components for our industrial 3D printers. As a Hardware Engineer, you’ll be involved in all stages of development – from 3D CAD design to PCB prototyping and testing.
What you’ll do
- Design mechanical parts and assemblies using 3D CAD software, preferably On
Shape; - Support the development and documentation of electromechanical systems;
- Create and update PCB schematics and layouts using tools such as Easy
EDA; - Assist in the assembly, soldering, and testing of electronic prototypes;
- Collaborate on the integration between hardware and firmware;
- Work closely with software and product teams to ensure compatibility and reliability;
- Perform validation testing, diagnostics, and continuous improvements on developed systems.
Who you are
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar;
- Solid knowledge of technical drawing and 3D CAD modeling (On
Shape preferred); - Basic understanding of analog and digital electronics, circuit diagnostics and schematic reading;
- Experience (academic or extracurricular) with PCB design using EASYEDA (or similar software);
- Interest in 3D printing, additive manufacturing, and
- software integration; - Detail-oriented,
- on, and analytically minded; - Fluent in technical English (written and spoken);
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
