Closer is hiring – QA Engineer (Data Systems | AWS | Automation)

As part of a dynamic international team (France, Milan & beyond), you’ll take ownership of software quality throughout the lifecycle — from development to release — ensuring performance, reliability, and excellence.

What you’ll do

• Define, implement, and improve QA standards across teams
• Review functional and technical specifications — be the first “customer” of our software
• Write and execute test plans, strategies, and QA reports
• Contribute to and maintain automated test suites
• Test applications running in AWS environments
• Perform API testing (Postman) and SQL validations
• Report on software quality through clear KPIs
• Promote QA best practices and train others in quality culture
• Support daily team operations and process optimization

What we’re looking for

• 2+ years’ experience in QA (functional & automation)
• Knowledge of white-box &
  - box testing
• Proficiency with SQL, API testing (Postman), and Jira/X‑Ray
• Familiarity with AWS (S3, Lambda, Step Functions, Redshift)
• Problem‑solving mindset, strong communication & leadership
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
• English: B2 level or higher

Nice to have

• Basics in Python or Kafka
• Understanding of AWS Transfer Family or data streaming tools
