We are looking for a
- on Engineering Manager to join our Engineering team
This is a hybrid
- part leadership, part deep technical contribution, with approximately 50% of your time spent coding. You’ll manage one or more engineering teams depending on your experience and interests. These teams work across foundational
- native domains: Kubernetes internals, infrastructure orchestration, workload scheduling, secure
- prem deployment, and developer tooling.
You’ll help shape technical direction, support your team’s growth, and stay close to the code. Expect to spend at least half your time involved in technical
- be it design, review, prototyping, or implementation.
Responsibilities as an Engineering Manager:
- Lead, mentor, and grow
- performing engineering teams - Drive team execution by aligning delivery with business and product goals
- Partner with Product Owners and Tech Leads to shape scope and roadmap
- Ensure robustness, scalability, and security in all deliverables
- Foster a culture of learning, ownership, and technical excellence
- Actively contribute to hiring, onboarding, and
- building efforts - Be a role model and champion of Castt AI’s values and engineering culture
Responsibilities as a Software Engineer:
- Contribute to architecture and
- on development in one or more areas:- Kubernetes controllers, operators, and scheduling logic
- Infrastructure-as-Code tooling, especially Terraform
- CI/CD pipelines and secure release automation
- Multi-cloud orchestration across AWS, GCP, Azure
- Secure or
- gapped deployments for enterprise environments
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code in Golang
- Debug complex distributed systems (networking, containers, OS-level)
- Collaborate with
- functional teams and support customer onboarding - Take part in production support and incident response processes
Requirements:
- Proven experience leading technical teams in a
- paced environment - Strong backend engineering background, ideally in Go
- Solid understanding of Kubernetes internals or
- native infrastructure - Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Deep familiarity with infrastructure automation tools (especially Terraform)
- Knowledge of CI/CD systems (Git
Lab, Git
Hub) and release engineering best practices - Clear communicator with strong written and verbal English skills
- Collaborative and
- oriented leadership style
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with secure or
- gapped deployment environments - Contributions to Kubernetes or CNCF
