What we’re looking for

Responsibilities

• Empower and enable the engineering teams to deliver outstanding results and build quality products, with accountability over the product quality, security, and performance;
• Help shape and improve the product development process, representing engineering by communicating technical constraints, opportunities, and solutions;
• Conduct regular training and coaching engagements;
• Build and maintain a culture of excellence, mentorship, and collaboration;
• Identify hiring needs, training and career progressions;
• Ensure domains follow the best engineering practices, including the reliability and performance of all internal systems;
• Directly manage the relationship with Product and Business as main stakeholders in the domain

Requirements

• 5-7 years or more of experience in software development, supporting the design and development of
  - scale, distributed software applications - OOP and SOLID principles
• 5 years or more in managing engineering teams doing product development
• Strong leadership qualities
• Extensive experience with software development processes and agile methodologies
• Leadership abilities with a strategic mindset
• Excellent analytical and
  - solving skills
• Good communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Highly motivated and
  - oriented individual
• Ability to understand existing codebase and expand to new product requirements
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work autonomously in a team environment

Nice to have

• Prior knowledge of PHP 7+, Laravel, Symfony, and Fuel
  PHP knowledge is a plus
• Experience in microservices is a big plus
