Engineering Manager Leiria

The role requires leading engineering teams to create outstanding products and services, with deep technical guidance at the management level. Responsibilities

• Manage a team of talented engineers by providing mentorship
• Lead by example and earn trust through the excellence of the team’s deliverables
• Be a technical advisor and contributor as needed, helping your team and other teams
• Communicate effectively with different stakeholders
• Promote best technology and software development practices into the team with passion and enthusiasm
• Contribute to the full development cycle: analysis, implementation, testing and operation

What’s expected from you

• Computer Science degree or related IT field experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience developing or operating
  - scale web applications
• Strong understanding of Design Patterns (particularly within Microservice Architecture)
• Strong experience developing and maintaining Cloud Native applications
• Strong experience with No
  SQL databases (e. g. , Mongo
  DB)
• Strong CI/CD experience
• Experience working with Agile methodologies
• Experience building strong, effective engineering teams through hiring, coaching and mentoring, especially in
  - growing companies
• Ability to manage and coach remote employees effectively
• Ability to adapt to different contexts, teams and stakeholders
• Proactive ownership for projects delivered by your team
• Continuous improvement mindset for existing processes
• Clear communication and collaboration skills
• Provides mentorship for team members
• Excellent analytical/problem-solving ability
