Engineering Operations Manager
About the Role
We are hiring an Engineering Operations Manager to support operational excellence across our Engineering, Product, and Design (EPD) organization. Reporting to the Senior Engineering Operations Manager, you will play an essential hands‑on role in facilitating team ceremonies, maintaining operational systems, and coordinating project initiatives across our 40+ cross‑functional teams.
You will coordinate organization‑wide initiatives and help teams adopt best practices that enable them to deliver high‑quality, customer‑centric solutions with speed and autonomy.
Key Responsibilities
Team Support & Tool Management
- Support teams following Scrum framework and help remove impediments to their progress
- Maintain Jira hygiene across all teams – ensuring consistent naming conventions, proper ticket categorization, and clean backlogs
- Configure and optimize team boards, filters, and workflows in Jira
- Identify opportunities for AI‑optimization and suggest improvements to reduce manual work
- Maintain JIRA dashboards and reports on team velocity, sprint completion, and delivery health
Project Coordination
- Support the coordination of cross‑functional initiatives by tracking action items and dependencies
- Risk management: flag risks or blockers to senior team members
Process Documentation & Support
- Document team processes, decisions, and standard operating procedures
- Maintain up‑to‑date runbooks and operational guides
- Help teams adopt established best practices and operational standards
Continuous Improvement
- Collect feedback from teams about process pain points and improvement ideas
- Participate in process improvement initiatives led by senior team members
- Support the rollout of new tools, processes, or practices across teams
- Contribute to communities of practice and knowledge sharing sessions
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years of hands‑on professional experience in project coordination, Scrum Master role, or Engineering operations
- Agile Knowledge: Solid understanding of Scrum framework and Agile principles
- Tool Expertise: Strong experience with Jira administration
- SDLC Understanding: Understanding of software development lifecycle and engineering practices
- Dev
Ops Awareness: Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and Dev
Ops fundamentals - Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills
- AI Tools: Ability to work with AI tools to create basic automation scripts
- Language: English proficiency at B2 level
Nice to Haves
- Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM)
- Experience working in Saa
S/Product companies - Familiarity with engineering metrics (velocity, cycle time, DORA metrics)
