About Us

Whether it is parcel routing or a mobile app, there is always highly developed IT behind it. The client is responsible for the tools and systems involved, managing the IT for over 840 million parcels in 41 countries across more than 1, 600 locations.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Manage & document the AS-IS and TO-BE architecture landscape, including related standards and processes within EAM.
• Evaluate optimization potential through innovations and weak point analysis (cost efficiency, security, complexity).
• Derive the TO-BE architecture along with implementation strategies and concrete solution scenarios.
• Collaborate with other architects at the group level.
• Support transformation projects including change and interface management.
• Ensure that every architecture decision maximizes business value.
• Apply pragmatic, lean, and
  - driven architecture methodologies.
• Execute the Architecture Advice Process for effective decision‑making.
• Work closely with solution architects on Cloud, Microservices, and Dev
  Ops.
• Demonstrate a strong aspiration to grow into an Enterprise Architect role.

Key Requirements

• Several years of experience as a Senior Solution Architect, ideally with Microservices, AWS, and Kubernetes experience.
• Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture Management frameworks, preferably TOGAF.
• Strong motivation to bridge hands‑on solution architecture with enterprise governance.
• Experience with EAM/repository tools (e. g. , Lean
  IX, Confluence) is preferred.
• Proficiency in creating C4 diagrams for architecture visualization.
• Knowledge of cloud governance, API design, and messaging technologies.
• Ability to combine high‑level governance with hands‑on architecture support.
• Value‑oriented mindset focusing on business impact.
• Excellent communication and networking skills.
• Very good English language skills (C1), with German as a plus.

Nice to Have

• TOGAF certification or experience in an intensive program.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Certified Kubernetes Architect.
• Background in software development (Java, Python) and CI/CD tools.
• Familiarity with agile methods (Scrum, Kanban).
