The Enterprise Architect will drive architectural maturity across the organization, develop and maintain technology strategies and architecture for our payments systems. The role requires a deep understanding of the payments industry, strong technical expertise, and the ability to align technology with business goals. The Enterprise Architect will collaborate with
- functional teams to ensure the scalability, security, and reliability of Planet’s systems, and to drive strategy adoption across the organization.

What you will do

• Architecture Strategy and Planning: Develop and maintain comprehensive enterprise architecture roadmaps aligned with Planet’s strategic objectives; define and enforce architectural principles, standards, and guidelines; evaluate and integrate emerging technologies and industry trends to inform strategic
  - making.
• System Design and Integration: Architect scalable, secure, and
  - performance solutions for our payment processing systems; ensure seamless integration of new technologies, platforms, and applications with existing systems; collaborate with infrastructure and development teams to design robust architectural solutions; create and maintain architecture documentation.
• Governance and Compliance: Evolve and enforce architecture governance processes; ensure adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and security best practices; conduct regular architecture reviews and audits.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business leaders, product managers, and technical teams to translate business needs into technical solutions; communicate architectural vision and progress to executives and teams; foster collaboration and innovation.
• Performance and Scalability: Design systems for high availability, performance, and scalability; implement monitoring and performance tuning; proactively address architectural issues to improve system stability.
• Technology Leadership and Mentorship: Lead technology initiatives from concept to implementation; guide teams on architectural best practices and emerging technologies; stay current with industry trends and share insights with the team.

Who you are

• Analytical
  - solver with high attention to detail and a proven ability to document architectural artefacts, roadmaps, strategies, and designs using diagrams.
• Able to articulate technical solutions to
  - technical business leaders and explain complex concepts clearly.
• Experience operating within architectural functions in rapidly evolving environments; collaborative with strong stakeholder management across C-suite to engineers.
• Experience architecting and securing
  - scale public and private cloud environments, preferably within a global regulated context.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage change at pace while meeting audit requirements.
• Self-starter with drive to investigate and resolve complex technology issues and to develop strategies aligned with business goals.
