Overview

Environment, Health And Safety Manager role at Norsk Hydro. Reporting directly to the HSE Director for Southern Europe, responsible for supervising all activities related to employee prevention and protection in compliance with applicable laws and guidelines. Actively promote a safety culture and continuous awareness at all levels of the organization. Part of the HSE team for Southern Europe with involvement in internationally transversal projects.

Responsibilities

• Guarantee, in collaboration with the local industrial leadership team, the identification and assessment of risk factors, proposing necessary measures to ensure safety and work environment quality in line with current legislation.
• Ensure proper management and review of all defined safety procedures and current management systems.
• Know, verify and ensure correct application of applicable national and group HSE standards and guidelines.
• Manage the area of occupational medicine at work.
• Monitor the status of incidents reported by areas (from creation to closure), validating the resolution of the incidents.
• Identify with area managers the training needs of employees to develop specific HSE competencies.
• Ensure, in collaboration with internal departments, the documentary verification of external companies.

Requirements

• Higher education in Engineering.
• Valid professional title as Safety Technician or Senior Safety Technician.
• Knowledge of English, spoken and written (minimum level B2).
• Willingness to travel occasionally in Europe (4 to 5 times per year).
