PSA Sines reference multinational and market leader in the containerised cargo handling sector, is currently recruiting for the position of HSSE Manager - F/M to reinforce its HSSE team, reporting directly to the Head of HSSE.

Mission:

You will be supporting the Head of HSSE to prepare Safety, Environmental, and Security strategies and to develop and implement internal policy, management systems, yearly plans, KPIs, and department budget.

A HSSE Manager must have a solid HSSE background and consistently keep up to date with advancements in the field. Apart from education and experience, must be assertive and have every quality of a leader.

The goal is to ensure that HSSE adds the maximum value to our company to facilitate the success of our business.

Main Responsibilities:

• Responsible for developing and implementing health, safety, security, and sustainability programs;
  
  implementing, developing, and improving integrated management systems;
  
  reviewing and updating institutional HSSE procedures;
  
  and conducting risk assessments to detect potential hazards and plan precautionary measures.
• Responsible for managing the HSSE team under his responsibility, as well as giving guidance and orientation to achieve company and department goals.
• Acts as safety champion, providing motivation and familiarization of all Company personnel respecting the importance of complying with Company system procedures and all Safety equipment provided.
• Replaces the Head of HSSE in her/his absence.
• Assures the development, implementation, and improvement of integrated Management Systems, according to international and company standards.
• Provides technical support to the Head of HSSE on any related subjects.
• Monitors the effective implementation of appropriate Safety and Environment System procedures and provides for their updating in line with changes in Legislation and Company Directives.
• Assists the Operations and Engineering Department in their dealings with Clients in all issues concerned with Health and Safety at work.
• Carries out any
  - house safety, security and environmental training.
• Performs Risk Assessments.
• Preparation of Health and Safety documentation for new tenders.
• Manages the HSSE indicators for the site, ensures the quality of the data, and communicates information and significant events to the appropriate levels.

Profile:

• BSc/BA in a relevant field and Safety Certification – Level VI (mandatory).
• Excellent knowledge of HSSE management systems (ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 / ISO 9001) and relevant legislation, with proven experience in systems implementation.
• Proven experience as a Manager of HSSE or a similar leading role.
• Solid understanding of operations in an Industrial Environment.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills, alongside assertiveness and interpersonal abilities.
• Trainee CAP.
• Excellent knowledge of environmental sustainability and proven experience in corporate sustainability reports.
• Dangerous goods certification (nice to have).
• PFSO (nice to have).
• ISPS Knowledge (nice to have).
