Environment Health Safety Lead
As an EHS Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the environmental, health, and safety performance on a
- scale data centre project. Working closely with site teams, subcontractors, and senior management, you will ensure a proactive safety culture, compliance with all legal and company standards, and a safe working environment for everyone on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and maintenance of all EHS systems and procedures on site
- Ensure compliance with local legislation, client requirements, and internal company standards
- Carry out site audits, inspections, and risk assessments to monitor safety practices
- Deliver EHS inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing training for site personnel and subcontractors
- Support and guide subcontractors on all
- related matters - Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts;
lead root cause analysis and corrective actions - Maintain

- date EHS documentation, including risk registers, permits, and safety statements - Work closely with project management and site supervisors to promote a
- first culture - Produce and present regular EHS reports to senior leadership and clients
- Monitor and manage environmental aspects of the project including waste management, noise, and emissions
- Lead emergency preparedness planning and drills
- Participate in client EHS meetings and audits
Skills & Qualifications
- Relevant qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or related field (e. G. NEBOSH, Degree/Diploma in EHS)
- Minimum 7+ years' EHS experience in construction or heavy engineering environments
- Previous experience on data centres, pharma, semiconductor, or industrial projects preferred
- Strong knowledge of EHS legislation, regulations, and best practices across Europe
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Confident in leading site teams and engaging with all levels of the organisation
- Ability to identify risk and implement effective solutions in
- pressure environments - Competent in EHS reporting tools and documentation systems
- Fluent in English (additional European languages a bonus)
