As an EHS Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the environmental, health, and safety performance on a
- scale data centre project. Working closely with site teams, subcontractors, and senior management, you will ensure a proactive safety culture, compliance with all legal and company standards, and a safe working environment for everyone on site.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the implementation and maintenance of all EHS systems and procedures on site

Ensure compliance with local legislation, client requirements, and internal company standards

Carry out site audits, inspections, and risk assessments to monitor safety practices

Deliver EHS inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing training for site personnel and subcontractors

Support and guide subcontractors on all
- related matters

Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts; lead root cause analysis and corrective actions

Maintain

- date EHS documentation, including risk registers, permits, and safety statements

Work closely with project management and site supervisors to promote a
- first culture

Produce and present regular EHS reports to senior leadership and clients

Monitor and manage environmental aspects of the project including waste management, noise, and emissions

Lead emergency preparedness planning and drills

Participate in client EHS meetings and audits

Skills & Qualifications

Relevant qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or related field (e. g. NEBOSH, Degree/Diploma in EHS)

Minimum 7+ years’ EHS experience in construction or heavy engineering environments

Previous experience on data centres, pharma, semiconductor, or industrial projects preferred

Strong knowledge of EHS legislation, regulations, and best practices across Europe

Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills

Confident in leading site teams and engaging with all levels of the organisation

Ability to identify risk and implement effective solutions in
- pressure environments

Competent in EHS reporting tools and documentation systems

Fluent in English (additional European languages a bonus)

Willingness to travel and work
- site across Europe
