Environment Health Safety Lead

Sodexo supports its client, MSD, by identifying, contracting, and coordinating Direct Service Providers (DSPs) in countries where Sodexo does not operate directly. The purpose of this role is to oversee and ensure the effective delivery of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) services in alignment with the Coordination Services (CS) Service Level Agreement.

⚙ What will you do?

• Oversee and ensure compliance of all HSE activities performed by Direct Service Providers for MSD.
• Conduct and support HSE audits, investigations, and special projects as required.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve HSE policies, processes, and management systems.
• Coordinate with Direct Service Provider and MSD teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Provide HSE expertise, advice, and coaching to senior management and operational teams.
• Deliver training sessions and promote a strong health and safety culture across all operations.
• Ensure timely reporting, effective communication, and alignment with MSD and Sodexo corporate HSE requirements.

? What you'll need to succeed?

• Minimum 5 years of HSE leadership experience, preferably within facilities management or industrial/pharmaceutical environments.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation, auditing practices, and risk management systems.
• Proven ability to influence, coach, and collaborate across complex,
  - country teams.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with fluency in English;
  
  other languages are an advantage.
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail,
  - solving, and
  - making capabilities.
• Proactive, organised, and adaptable — able to manage multiple priorities in a
  - paced, international environment.
• Confident, assertive, and empathetic leader who promotes collaboration and continuous improvement.
