We are looking for a highly skilled and driven Environmental Specialist (Engineer) to join our Licensing & Permitting team for the project phase of a new Industrial Unit(s) development. The ideal candidate will bring a solid background in environmental engineering, with demonstrated expertise in regulatory compliance, environmental assessments, and permitting processes. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring our projects comply with environmental standards, secure all necessary permits, and fully adhere to both local and national regulations.
What will you do:
- Lead and manage the preparation and submission of environmental permit applications to regulatory agencies, ensuring compliance with applicable environmental laws and regulations.
- Conduct environmental assessments, including but not limited to, site evaluations, environmental impact studies, and environmental risk assessments.
- Collaborate with internal teams, external consultants, and regulatory bodies to ensure all necessary permits are secured for project development and construction.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of environmental regulations and industry best practices, keeping up to date with changes in legislation.
- Coordinate and support environmental monitoring and reporting activities throughout the lifecycle of projects, from planning through construction and operation.
- Develop and implement strategies to minimize environmental impact and ensure sustainable practices are integrated into project planning and execution.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations to communicate findings, recommendations, and status updates to both internal stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
- Participate in environmental compliance audits and inspections as required by regulatory bodies.
- Provide support during environmental reviews, public hearings, and community engagement processes.
- Advise project teams on environmental risks, mitigation measures, and permitting requirements.
- Verification and analysis of technical drawings related to the environmental discipline (noise emissions, gaseous emissions, water emissions, etc. )
- Analysis of applicable BREFs for the project and their requirements.
- Monitoring of fieldwork (on-site monitoring) and verification of produced reports.
What you'll bring:
- BSc/MSc degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field.
- 10 years of experience in environmental permitting, regulatory compliance, or related areas.
- Strong knowledge of environmental laws and regulations relevant to licensing and permitting. .
- Ability to interpret and apply environmental regulations to diverse projects and activities.
- Knowledge of REACH and CLP is a plus.
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to foster relationships with regulatory agencies, project teams, and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in
