Role Overview
We’re seeking a commercially driven, creative Events and Partnership Manager (Freelance) to build our events pipeline and strategy, lead the planning and delivery of private and corporate events (70%), and develop partnerships that generate a steady programme of
- adding events to support membership growth (30%).
Working closely with other team members, your primary role will be to build our pipeline of private events, and oversee the seamless execution of
- quality experiences aligned with Hive’s brand, culture, and values to ensure that Hive Cascais continues to thrive as a vibrant hub for entrepreneurs, professionals, and the local community.
The right candidate for this role will have a solid background in event sales and management, and the creative and commercial acumen to turn ideas into memorable experiences and profitable commercial opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Commercial Sales
- Develop our commercial strategy and pipeline of private events to drive event bookings of private and corporate events.
- Manage the full sales cycle — from lead generation, needs analysis and proposal writing to budgeting, contract negotiation and deal closing.
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities for promoting our facilities for potential private and corporate clients.
- Maintain accurate sales and pipeline records for reporting through CRM tools.
- Commit to achieve and potentially exceed agreed revenue targets.
2. Event Planning and Management
- Direct the planning, management of and direct on site oversight of each and every commercial event including pitch, supplier selection, time scheduling, budget management and coordinating for internal teams for delivery.
- Develop and oversee a dynamic calendar of regular knowledge based events with local partners designed to enhance the experience of our members and generate leads for membership and event sales.
- Work closely with the Community Manager, Chef and contractors to ensure smooth logistics, appropriate resourcing and seamless execution of private events in a timely manner without jeopardising our members' experience.
- Develop and sustain a professional network of trusted suppliers for event delivery, including catering, entertainment and others.
- Ensure
- event evaluation and feedback processes are completed to maintain continuous improvement.
3. Partnerships & Brand Activation
- Develop and manage strategic partnerships with local businesses, sponsors, and brands that align with Hive Cascais’ mission.
- Collaborate with the marketing and community management team to activate partnerships through events, content, and
- branded campaigns. - Represent Hive Cascais at external events, networking functions, and business forums to promote the brand and generate leads.
4. Collaboration & Customer Experience
- Work collaboratively with the Hive Cascais Team to ensure alignment between member events and commercial activities
- Contribute to weekly management meetings, providing sales forecasts, event reports, and pipeline updates.
- Ensure consistent brand representation and quality standards across all sales and event touchpoints.
- Support the Community Manager with

- day operations to ensure we maintain a welcoming,
- standard environment for our members by ensuring shared spaces remain tidy and welcoming at all times and provide support for staff breaks and holidays as needed.
Skills & Qualifications Sought
Essential:
- Demonstrable experience in event and sales management from having done a similar role;
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing client relationships effectively.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Fluency in English and Portuguese (written and spoken) is a must have.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort working independently within a small,
- moving team. - Proficiency with CRM systems and Google Workspace.
- Own your own laptop and car
Desirable:
- Background in hospitality and
- focused environments. - Proficiency in marketing, digital promotion, and social media for event visibility.
- Creative mindset and ability to translate client visions into impactful experiences.
Working Hours
- Freelance contract
- Hours are flexible, depending on event programming and operational requirements.
- Occasional evening or weekend work is expected, with weekday adjustments to maintain balance.
