Position Overview

As a Network Architect in the Network Team you will propose, analyse and define the requirements for new and existing services and systems in the functional domain of Evolved Packet Core and 5G SA Core. You will prepare, design, test and deliver new solutions or enhancements to the existing product portfolio and support the technology evolution roadmap for systems within the assigned functional area and domain while actively participating in cross‑functional projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaboration with other Network teams to define and manage projects for delivery of new solutions.
• Network design, integration and migration strategy definition and end‑to‑end delivery.
• Iterate with customers and stakeholders to determine technical requirements, risks and recommendations.
• Design of new consumer and corporate telecom solutions.
• Creation and maintenance of technical documentation (HLD, LLD, WO) over the solution lifecycle.
• Understanding of end‑to‑end system testing requirements.
• Follow‑up and definition of quality and performance indicators.
• Capacity and performance analysis, reporting and improvement solution definition.
• Service and resource configuration definition and implementation on requested systems.
• Work on complex solutions that influence the design of current products and address design issues for future products or technologies.
• Market prospection of new solutions through analysis of RFI/RFP processes and negotiation with potential suppliers.
• Manage change requests to current partners to meet network necessities.
• Control the network elements roadmap and software/hardware upgrades during component lifecycle.
• Generate and implement process improvements, especially cross‑team processes.
• Follow up on new technology trends in the telecom industry and propose recommendations for improvements and alternatives.

Requirements

• Proven experience in implementation of live mobile telecom solutions (GSM, UMTS, LTE, IMS) with network design, capacity management, engineering and architecture.
• Knowledge of 3GPP, GSMA, ITU standards and specifications.
• Experience in design, test and operation of Packet Core systems (P‑GW, RADIUS, DNS, PCRF, e
  PDG, DRA).
• Experience in defining, establishing and maintaining roaming interconnects for GRX/IPX.
• Understanding of IMS architecture and experience deploying Vo
  LTE, Vo
  Wi
  Fi and Qo
  S.
• Experience in designing, implementing, testing and troubleshooting interfaces: Gx, RADIUS, SGi/Gi, Gy, Bp, S6b, S2b, SWm, Sxb.
• Experience in mobile services charging (offline, online).
• Experience in policy control including DPI and PCRF policy creation.
• Experience with Io
  T, including LTE‑M and NB‑Io
  T.
• Knowledge and experience with Diameter/SCTP networks and protocols.
• Experience with protocol analyzer tools such as Wireshark and Astelia.
• Experience with ETSI NFV architecture and solutions.
• Familiarity with MVNO/MVNE/MVNA architecture(s).
• English proficiency mandatory; other languages are a plus.
• Degree in Telecom Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Nice to Have

• +8 years working on telecoms, designing and implementing mobile core networks.
• +3 years in a telecom strategy role.
• Experience in 5G Core design, implementation and operation.
• Previous experience with Nokia and Affi­red Networks EPC products.
