Position Overview

As a Network Engineering member in the Mobile Packet Core Services functional area, you will propose, analyze, and define the requirements for new and existing services and systems related to the packet systems under the functional area. You will prepare, design, test, and provide new solutions or product changes to the existing portfolio and define and support the technology evolution roadmap for the systems under the functional area and domain. You will also participate and support other functional areas in cross‑functional projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other network teams to define and manage projects for delivery of new solutions.
• Deliver projects: network design, integration and migration strategy definition, collaboration with other departments, and responsibility for end‑to‑end delivery.
• Design new consumer and corporate telecom solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation (HLD, LLD, WOs, etc. ) throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Implement solutions in live environments and understand end‑to‑end system testing requirements.
• Define and follow up on quality and performance indicators.
• Analyze capacity and performance, report, and define improvement solutions.
• Define and implement service & resource configurations on requested systems.
• Work on complex solutions that influence current product design and address design issues for future products or technologies.
• Maintain close relationships with external partners such as carriers and service providers.
• Manage change‑request processes to current partners to meet network necessities.
• Control the network elements roadmap, ensuring necessary software/hardware upgrades during component lifecycle.
• Generate and implement process improvements, especially cross‑team processes.
• Document the existing technology portfolio and propose recommendations for improvements or alternatives.

Requirements

• Proven experience implementing live solutions on mobile telecom (GSM, UMTS, LTE, IMS), networks design, capacity management, engineering, and architecture.
• Knowledge of 3GPP, GSMA, ITU standards and specifications.
• Experience in the design, test, and operation of Packet Core systems, including P‑GW, RADIUS, DNS, PCRF, e
  PDG, DRA.
• Experience defining, establishing, and maintaining roaming interconnects for GRX/IPX.
• Understanding of IMS architecture, Vo
  IP, Vo
  LTE, Vo
  Wi
  Fi, and Qo
  S.
• Experience designing, implementing, testing, and troubleshooting interfaces such as Gx, RADIUS, SGi/Gi, Gy, Bp, S6b, S2b, SWm, Sxb.
• Experience with mobile services charging (offline, online) and OCS, Gy, Bp interfaces.
• Experience with Io
  T technologies, including LTE‑M and NB‑Io
  T.
• Knowledge of Diameter/SCTP networks and protocols, RADIUS, GTP‑C, GTP‑U, Diameter, MAP, S6a.
• Experience with protocol analyzer tools like Wireshark, Astelia, and ability to troubleshoot network errors for the mentioned protocols.
• Experience with ETSI NFV architecture and solutions.
• Familiarity with MVNO/MVNE/MVNA architectures and landscapes.
• English proficiency (mandatory). Other languages are a plus.
• Degree in Telecom Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

Nice to Have

• +3 years working on telecoms, designing and implementing mobile core networks.
• Experience creating PCRF products, plans, and service logic based on PCC architecture.
• Experience in 5G Core design, implementation, and operation.
• Previous experience with Nokia and Affined Networks EPC products.
