Job Description:
Responsibilities
- Practicing company values
- Leading, coordinating, supporting, motivating, training, and evaluating the galley team
- Monitoring and ensuring culinary service is up to the highest standards
- Organizing "mise en place", appropriate storage, and keeping of goods
- Maintaining hygiene in the galley in accordance with HACCP regulations
- Supporting and assisting the culinary and restaurant team
- Managing food orders, stock, and cost control in collaboration with the Executive Chef
- Relieving the Executive Chef during their absence
- Performing any other duties as advised by the Executive Chef/Hotel Manager
Skills/Qualifications
- Culinary school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum two years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a 4 or 5-star restaurant or hotel
- Cruise ship experience is a plus
- Proven leadership abilities and excellent communication skills
- Fluency in English
