Experienced FinOps Engineer - AWS Porto

As an experienced Fin
Ops Engineer, you’ll play a key role in analyzing and optimizing our AWS cloud spend. You’ll help monitor and audit cloud costs, given your expertise in observability tools such as Data
Dog and Vantage, alongside your
- grained approach to cost analysis, creating Dashboards to provide cost visibility and transparency to cloud usage across multiple services in a
- tenant ecosystem. You’ll use scripting languages like Python or Go to collect and
- grain cloud cost information, allowing you to create an accurate representation of cloud costs based on tenant usage.

You’ll collaborate closely with
- functional teams to drive cost efficiency—while continuing to learn, grow, and have fun building meaningful solutions.

National and international expected traveling time varies according to project/client and organizational needs: 0%-15% estimated.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement cloud cost monitoring, analysis, and Fin
  Ops practices.
• Monitor AWS pricing models and optimize cloud spend across services.
• Create dashboards and reports for cost visibility across a
  - tenant environment.
• Automate data collection and cost analysis using Python and/or Go.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to drive cost efficiency and enable
  - aware decision making.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in cloud cost monitoring, analysis, or Fin
  Ops roles.
• Strong understanding of AWS cloud platform and their pricing models.
• Understanding of Cloud Services such as Saa
  S, Paa
  S, Iaa
  S.
• Proficiency in monitoring and reporting tools preferably using Data
  Dog and/or Vantage for tracking consumption and spending.
• Experience in automation and scripting using Python and/or Go.
• Solid experience with cloud tools such as Kubernetes and Terraform.
• Strong analytical and
  - solving skills.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to
  - technical stakeholders.
• Passion for continuous learning and sharing knowledge.

Nice to have

• Experience with cost management tools like AWS Cost Explorer or
  - party tools (e. g. , Cloud
  Health, Apptio, CAST AI).
• Fin
  Ops certification or participation in the Fin
  Ops Foundation community.
• Good experience using Argo
  CD, Flux is a big plus.
