About the Position

Job Summary

We are a company leader in Instrumentation for Science and Technology. Our Field Service Engineers are essential to ensure the company's growth and to maintain our market leadership by providing the highest quality service to our clients. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing field service support in your assigned area.

Key Accountabilities

1. Perform preventative maintenance, repair, and/or installation of instruments at our facilities or at customer’s site, including electrical and mechanical testing, in accordance with maintenance contracts.
2. Perform operational training to clients after installation.
3. Diagnose system failures and implement the best solutions.
4. Provide technical support to other FSEs in Spain and Portugal, when required.
5. Coordinate with internal or external key players for
   - complexity interventions to resolve service calls efficiently.
6. Coordinate with other departments to meet client needs.
7. Contribute to developing service agreements and inform clients about new products.
8. Maintain and control the stock assigned.

Networking/Key Relationships

This position requires constant cooperation with external clients and frequent coordination with various company departments: Technical Service, Sales, Supply Chain, Quality, etc.

Minimum Knowledge & Experience

• Professional qualification (level 4) or a bachelor’s degree in science areas: biomedical, electronic, automation engineering, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of electricity, electronics, and/or IT.
• 1-3 years of experience in similar positions.

Skills & Capabilities

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Flexible and
  - structured.
• A true team player.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English. Spanish is a plus.

Travel Requirements

• Availability to travel across Portugal and Spain (20% - 40% of their time).
