Field Service Engineer

Provide Werfen clients in the designated area with instrument service and support. This includes, but is not limited to, installation,
- installation, preventive maintenance, instrument failure diagnostics and repair, service estimates, operator training, and instrument modification and upgrades.
Manage workflow, client interactions, and reporting tasks diligently and promptly using company systems and processes.
Communicate effectively with other departments and team members to ensure a positive customer experience, smooth workflow, and accurate incident reporting.
Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities
- Plan, execute, and report on service calls accurately and timely.
- Manage inventory of repair parts to ensure availability and cost efficiency.
- Maintain tools, diagnostic instruments, IT systems, and communication devices.
- Follow company processes, directives, and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to improve customer satisfaction and business outcomes.
- Work independently and escalate issues proactively.
- Communicate clearly with customers and colleagues to build trust.
Networking/Key relationships
Maintain proactive relationships with FSEs, Help Line, Service Area Manager, Sales reps, Technical Service Specialists, Product Line Managers, Service support teams, logistics, and clients.
Qualifications
Minimum knowledge & experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in electrical/mechanical engineering or sciences.
- 2-5 years in service or technical roles in Life Sciences or medical equipment.
- Desirable: data analytics skills, Excel, pivot tables.
- Ability to test and troubleshoot electrical circuits, computer hardware, and pneumatics.
- Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.

- IT and connectivity skills.
- Ability to work across electronics, mechanics, pneumatics, and informatics.
