The Opportunity:
We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our Porto-based office. This is an exciting new role and a great opportunity for a finance assistant looking to develop their career in an international context. Based in our new Development and Operations hub in Porto, Portugal, you will be an essential member of the Finance team and work collaboratively across RONIN’s International entities and sister organisations.
Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Finance Assistant with at least 3–4 years of relevant experience to join our finance team. This role is critical to the

- day financial operations of the business, ensuring accuracy across ledgers, supporting treasury and fixed asset management, and contributing to
- end and
- end processes.
The successful candidate will bring strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a
- on approach to supporting the Financial Controller and wider finance function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded and reconciled in a timely manner.
- Oversee the

- end accounts payable and receivable process, including processing supplier invoices, raising sales invoices, managing payment runs, and performing debtor
- ups. - Monitor and manage aged debtors and creditors, ensuring that collections and payments are made within agreed terms.
- Assist in intercompany reconciliations, including reconciliation of balances and preparation of relevant documentation.
- Maintain and manage the Fixed Asset Register, ensuring all acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation entries are correctly accounted for.
- Support the Treasury Function, including daily bank reconciliations, cash flow tracking, and preparation of weekly cash flow forecasts.
- Contribute to month-end and
- end close, including journal preparation, reconciliations, and reporting packs. - Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve invoice or payment queries.
- Provide ad hoc support and analysis to the Financial Controller and finance team as required.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3–4 years’ experience in a similar accounting or finance role.
- Degree in Management, Finance or a related field; CPA required
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and processes, including ledgers, reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Proficient in using accounting software Sage Intact and strong skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, etc. ).
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of assigned areas.
- High level of accuracy, strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Confident communicator with the ability to liaise across departments and with external partners.
- Fluent English-speaker.
