Opportunity: Finance Data Steward

Sodexo is accelerating its data journey to drive sustainable growth and enhance services for consumers, clients and employees. As part of this transformation, a global Data Community is being built to strengthen data quality across all business lines and functions, coordinated by the Global Data Governance Office.

Reporting to Finance Data Governor, the Data Steward will coordinate the launch of data management initiatives under the scope of Finance Data Domain: Common Language implementation, Data Documentation, Data quality, set up and drive remediation plans to solve data quality issues and support the monitoring of Finance data accesses.

Will be in charge of (1) building data quality roadmap with manager aligned with Sodexo’s strategy and (2) coordinate with the data governance office to implement global policies & guidelines and share roadmap and local best practices, (3) maintain the data documentation and when applicable the data quality applications and (4) monitor Finance data accesses.

Reporting to the Business Line or Function, this role will help translate the global data governance strategy into actionable practices, guiding principles and methodologies to elevate data quality and consistency across the company.

⚙Key Responsibilities:

• Developing standards and process to measure and improve the following data governance program implementation.
• Coordinating with the Data Quality Director to maintain a global vision of Data Governance initiatives
• Getting a
  - level understanding of the data used and produced across the organization and serve as a key liaison and as an escalation point for all issues related to data governance.
• Gathering status updates on data governance across areas by creating and updating a data governance log
• Developing data documentation & data quality improvement. Overseeing data documentation, definition, and proactive data quality improvement
• Facilitating
  - out of wide Data Governance framework, with a drive focus on improvement of priority streams, related new metrics, necessary processes and deployment of adapted tools
• Building an awareness program and implementing the policies with focus on first waves

? What You Need to Succeed:

• MSc. in technical or business transformation disciplines with combined experience
• 2 to 4 years of experience in Data Management related roles
• Experience supporting/driving digital transformation initiatives within finance
• (with measurable improvement in data quality and derived business impact)
• Understanding relational databases, modelling and warehousing;
  
  CDMP is a plus
• Strong network /interaction with Data Owners and key stakeholders
• Ability to connect, influence and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Continuous learner with ability to grasp new contexts, concepts and methodologies
• Pragmatic,
  - starter;
  
  comfortable
  - paced, innovative, ambiguous
• environments
• Results-oriented, with ability to lead and implement new processes successfully
• Excellent organization, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong
  - cultural awareness: international experience is an advantage
• Fluent English, French a plus
• Genuine passion for Data and its business value
