LEGENDS’ KEY PARTNERSHIP WITH FC PORTO
FC Porto and Legends have recently announced a
- channel partnership. Moreover, Legends will provide their expertise through the 360-degree platform to drive growth and further strengthen the FC Porto brand globally. Through this partnership Legends is supporting FC Porto in developing revolutionary business model that consists of:
- Transforming the fan experience supporting global partnerships as the Food and Beverage experience at Estádio do Dragão, namely in FC Porto Partner’s Club VIP boxes and seats.
- Collaborate with FC Porto to explore opportunities to improve the overall fan experience at the stadium and enhance commercial opportunities.
THE ROLE
The Finance Manager will assist the Finance Director for Iberia in establishing Legends’ Hospitality business in Portugal and play a key role in preparing the company for the delivery of new business operations.
The role requires someone with the ability to run the

- day finance function for the Hospitality division team, working effectively with internal stakeholders to implement best in class policies & procedures, and to leverage the support of external stakeholders to ensure the company adheres to local regulatory requirements.
A significant focus in the role will be partnering with the Portuguese Hospitality division during operational planning and delivery; as well as the Head of F&B and the wider Senior Management team in Portugal and Iberia, helping to implement and develop new Hospitality systems, managing budgets, and overseeing accounting functions.
This is a new opportunity to be an integral part of the team tasked with building a global business’ Hospitality presence in Portugal but will also be expected to play a pivotal role in the wider Iberian Finance team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Establish and implement policies & procedures relevant to the Hospitality division to operate a

- class finance function.
- Responsible for all accounting & compliance processes for the Portuguese entity.
- Ensure a timely and accurate month end closing process for the Hospitality division, with delivery of management reporting and commentary.
- Maintain a rigorous budget control regarding capex investments and P&L performance.
- Represent the Finance department in system implementation and development for the Hospitality division.
- Build solid working relationships with business and central function department leaders, supporting the planning and operational delivery.
- Financial control of the GA retail (concessions) operational process, incl. the onsite cash operation on hospitality business days (which will involve occasionally work on weekends or late evenings).
- Provide KPI and financial reporting for clients as requested.
- Support International Finance during budgeting, forecasting and financial planning & analysis. Contribute to and ratify weekly business forecast submission to European F&B reporting.
- Ensure the business follows all statutory reporting and tax compliance processes, leveraging local professional services.
- Own audit process for local legal entity.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Minimum 5-8 years of Finance experience covering all principal areas of Finance, including Accounting and Financial Planning & Analysis.
• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and other MS Office software required.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail essential.
• Ability to connect financial accounting information with its business context.
• Proactive attitude and strong ability to building relationships with business partners.
• Must be highly analytical, have the ability to think creatively and be proactive in striving for continuous process improvement.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Portuguese & English, and the ability to
- task and prioritize in a
- oriented environment.
• Must be flexible to work extended hours due to business requirements including late nights, weekends, and holidays.
