Finance Manager - Lisbon - Lisboa

Oversee financial planning, reporting and management of financial resources within the organisation;
Manage a team based in Portugal and UK.

Client Details

Our client is a Multinational Consultancy specialised in Corporate Affairs and Public Policy.

Description

Prepare and review consolidated monthly and annual financial statements and management reports;
Develop and manage the annual budgeting process in coordination with country heads;
Conduct monthly financial forecasting;
Prepare and present financial reports for management, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and financial modeling;
Monitor cash flow to ensure sufficient funds are available for operational needs;
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury functions to ensure efficient cash management;
Coordinate and lead the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.
Oversee tax preparation and annual accounts filing in multiple countries;
Identify and recommend
- saving opportunities and efficiencies across the organisation;
Provide financial insights and recommendations to the executive team for
- making;
Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of finance professionals.

Profile

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field;
Minimum 8 years of experience in financial management, using multiple currencies and preparing consolidation preferably in a corporate environment;
Previous work experience in UK or Germany is a high plus;
Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements;
Proficiency in a financial software (Xero and Syft are of advantage) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel;
Excellent analytic, organisational, and
- solving skills;
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly;
High-level proficiency in English (mandatory).
