Finance Specialist
The purpose of this role is to manage purchasing, accounts payable, and a variety of general finance tasks.
⚙ What will you do?
Purchasing
Process and manage purchase orders; to include interaction with vendors and internal clients as per the Sodexo purchasing process and policy
Ensure vendors have the appropriate resale certificate on file with purchase orders.
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services if needed
Handle inquiries and resolve issues related to purchase orders, vendor inquiries
Review open purchase orders to ensure proper receipting is completed as per the accounting guidelines.
Prepare GRNI (Goods Receipt, No Invoice) report and work with vendors and accounts to close
Accounts Payable
Receive, review, and verify invoices for accuracy to include taxation requirements and
Process payments and ensure timely settlement of accounts payable
Reconcile accounts payable statements
Maintain accurate and organized records of all transactions
Communicate and resolve discrepancies with vendors
Monthly Review of vendor accounts receivable statements
Quarterly review of “Vendor Open AR Statement and completion of 3-way match.
Handle
- PO invoices ensuring appropriate approvals and documentation
General Finance Tasks
Support
- end and
- end closing processes
Provide administrative support to the finance department as needed
Process Improvement
Participate in process standardization and automation initiatives.
What you'll need to succeed?
Good Accounting/Financial knowledge (Degree it`s an advantage)
Knowledge on verbal and written English
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Good communications skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Pro-active, responsive and action orientated
Ability to work under pressure
Intermediate systems knowledge (SAP)
A focus on quality and alignment to Sodexo’s values
