Hydro Global Business Services (GBS) Job Description

Hydro Global Business Services (GBS) is an organizational area that operates as an internal service provider for the Hydro group. Its ultimate purpose is to deliver relevant IT, financial, and HR business services to all business areas within the company.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare financial statements according to schedule
2. Prepare VAT declaration
3. Intrastat reporting
4. Support invoicing process
5. Support the tax audits and tax returns
6. Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance
7. Support
   - end and
   - end close process - SAP
8. Reconcile balance sheet accounts - Blackline Reconciliation
9. Ensure compliance with IT GAAP, IAS principles, and tax laws
10. Produce
    - free accounting reports and present their results
11. Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency
12. Review and recommend modifications to accounting procedures
13. Follow up on IFRS 16
14. HFM reporting
15. Support to business controller

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an accountant, minimum 5 years
• Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
• In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Familiarity with financial accounting statements
• Experience with general ledger functions and the
  - end/year-end close process
• Hands-on experience with SAP 4 HANA
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
• BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field
• Fluent in English and Portuguese
