Financial Accountant Lisboa

Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Financial Accountant with at least 5 years of experience in accounting and tax compliance in Portugal. The role will manage the full accounting cycle of our Portuguese entities, ensuring accuracy of financial data and compliance with SNC and IFRS standards, while contributing to the growth of the renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage
  - cycle accounting processes in compliance with Portuguese GAAP (SNC) and IFRS.
• Prepare and review financial statements and annual accounts.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax declarations (VAT, CIT/Modelo 22, IES, etc. ).
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy of entries.
• Lead and execute monthly closing activities (provisions, accruals, journal entries).
• Maintain accounting records and documentation in line with legal and internal requirements.
• Coordinate and support external audits, providing required information and analysis.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and global teams to ensure financial integration and compliance.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and tax compliance in Portugal.
• In-depth knowledge of Portuguese tax regulations and accounting standards (SNC and IFRS).
• Proficiency in SAP and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and autonomy in managing accounting cycles.
