Hydro Global Business Services (GBS) - Accountant Role

Hydro GBS operates as an internal service provider within the Hydro group, delivering IT, financial, and HR services across the company.

Responsibilities

1. Prepare financial statements according to schedule
2. Prepare VAT declarations
3. Manage Intrastat reporting
4. Support invoicing processes
5. Assist with tax audits and tax returns
6. Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance
7. Support
   - end and
   - end closing processes using SAP
8. Reconcile balance sheet accounts with Blackline
9. Ensure compliance with IT GAAP, IAS principles, and tax laws
10. Produce accurate accounting reports and analyze results
11. Identify errors and suggest efficiency improvements
12. Review and recommend modifications to accounting procedures
13. Follow up on IFRS 16
14. Support HFM reporting
15. Collaborate with the business controller

Requirements

• Proven experience as an accountant, minimum 5 years
• Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and GAAP
• Experience with financial statements and general ledger functions
• Hands-on experience with SAP 4 HANA
• Advanced MS Excel skills, including Vlookups and pivot tables
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field
• Fluent in English and Portuguese
