Job Overview

Financial Control Officer – Permanent – Full‑time – Porto, Portugal.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quarterly closing monitoring controls and ad‑hoc assignments covering accounting, tax and financial information.
• Perform reconciliations: Balance Sheet & Off‑Balance Sheet, economic P&L, bank accounts, custodial positions.
• Review financing operations P&L control, treatment of accounting netting, internal operations and employee expenses.
• Compare IFRS with French GAAP and assess control framework across teams in Paris and Porto.
• Supervise junior team members and contribute to process improvements, including automation.
• Communicate issues to the team leader and coordinate with Paris colleagues; travel to Paris as needed.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Accounting, Audit or equivalent with banking accounting knowledge.
• Minimum 3 years of audit experience.
• Strong accounting, control environment and data management skills.
• Knowledge of IFRS 9, Power BI and MS Office.
• Fluency in English; French is a plus.
