Location: Hybrid (Remote with monthly travel to client HQ in Germany)

Overview

Our client is seeking a motivated, dynamic, and hardworking Financial Controller with 3–5 years of experience to support their expanding international operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys taking ownership, and can confidently partner with senior stakeholders across a growing technology organisation.

You will play a key role in ensuring financial stability, accuracy, and transparency while contributing to the strategic financial direction of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage month‑end and year‑end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across multiple business units.
• Maintain and improve financial controls, processes, and compliance standards.
• Prepare detailed financial reports, dashboards, and KPI analyses for senior management.
• Support cash‑flow planning, cost analysis, and margin optimisation initiatives.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory stakeholders as required.
• Partner closely with operational teams to provide financial insight and support decision‑making.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and ensure accurate reconciliation.
• Assist with financial planning for ongoing and upcoming projects within the telecommunications/ICT domain.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–5 years’ experience in financial controlling, accounting, or similar finance roles.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting principles, accounting standards, and internal controls.
• Experience working in a telecommunications, ICT, or technology‑driven environment is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present insights clearly.
• High level of proficiency in Excel and modern financial tools (ERP systems, BI tools, etc. ).
• Business‑fluent English is essential; German language skills are advantageous.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Motivated, dynamic, and hardworking with a hands‑on approach to problem‑solving.
• Ability to travel to Germany once per month for meetings at the client’s headquarters.
