Financial Controller will be in responsible for:

• Ensuring that the IFRS consolidation package is delivered within the fixed delays and in accordance with the applicable regulation and standards:
• Controlling and validate the quarterly IFRS packages produced by the countries for the sake of the Group, by running controls and consistency checks including harmonization restatements.
• Contributing to the proper accounting presentation of insurance operations in the consolidated financial statements of the Group.
• Carrying out analysis reviews necessary to better understand and monitor the entities’ status, situation and perspectives and document the operational implementation of restructuring operations when needed.
• Contributing to the review and the quality controls to perform for IFRS Gap on a quarterly basis.
• Documenting all the work realized in accordance with the requirements defined by the International permanent control.
• Guaranteeing the reliability of the reporting processes:
• Proposing and write guidelines, procedures or synthesis documents which enable to strengthen the safety and productivity of operations,
• You ensure the traceability of the operations by formalizing a clear audit trail documentation as part of the quarterly closing file (digital),
• Guaranteeing the strict respect of the reporting deadlines and even try to improve them,
• For the entities or the transversal topics under your responsibility, you lead the continuous improvement of the data quality as well as the efficiency of processes. In this way, you lead inclosing meetings with countries and other services in order to identify the difficulties and problems encountered during the closing and define an appropriate action plan to improve the data quality. You follow up the actions plan through debriefing meetings organized on a regular basis.
• Guaranteeing a regular reporting on your activities to your team and Manager (IFC)
• Contributing to the correct execution and the proper solving of complex reporting issues (incoming entities, mergers and acquisitions, activities ceded…) during the quarterly reporting

Requirements:

• Degree in one of the following areas preferably: Finance or Management Control
• Background in Finance, and between 8 to 15 years’ experience with management reporting or financial reporting in a
  - entity environment, acquainted with storytelling reporting packages across different phases of the financial cycle (ex: Budgets vs Forecasts vs Actuals)
• Previous working experience in a function related to Management Control
• Fluency in English – Portuguese is appreciated, French is a plus
