Financial Controller

The Role:

We're seeking a Financial Controller to join a leading European entertainment and communications company at their Lisbon operations. This Financial Controller position plays a critical role in executing financial and accounting operations while providing strategic analysis and ensuring regulatory compliance in the dynamic new media and internet industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily financial operations and accounting functions for internal administrative activities
• Deliver critical financial outputs including risk mitigation strategies and opportunity forecasting
• Produce accurate financial reports, forecasts, and analyses to support strategic
  - making
• Analyze and monitor costs across business areas, cost centers, and other relevant categories
• Provide executive leadership with financial information that drives organizational objectives
• Ensure full compliance with local legislation, tax requirements, and industry regulations
• Maintain and monitor company policies and internal controls, particularly expenditure controls, to safeguard assets and minimize fraud risk
• Develop clear documentation and efficient accounting processes suited to a

• Collaborate with UK-based Finance team and external stakeholders including banks, auditors, accountants, and legal advisers

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's, Master's, or MBA degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience
• Previous experience in Corporate Finance within international environments
• Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Deep knowledge of IFRS accounting standards
• Excellent multitasking abilities with flexibility to adjust priorities based on business needs
• Strong presentation and influencing skills
• Proactive,

• Fluent English (C2 level)
