Financial Project Analyst
Job Description
The FPA ensures accurate project financials by managing P&L and balance sheet in line with IFRS, internal policies, and business reality. They provide financial insights to project managers and stakeholders, oversee end‑to‑end project controlling and ERP setup, and ensure compliance with revenue recognition and audit requirements. The role also supports accounting impact analysis, monitors project balance sheets, and contributes to performance reviews and backlog verification.
Purpose of the role & key responsibilities
- FPA controls and ensures project P&L and BS correctness according to business reality, IFRS, internal policies and other regulations.
- Provides project financial insight to PMs, business, finance, audit, accounting and other stakeholders.
- Manages end‑to‑end project controlling for simple customer projects or specific tasks within projects, supervised by a Senior FPC.
- Responsible to set up and maintain projects in the ERP system.
- Supports the PM/PMO organization to understand accounting impacts in the project actuals and forecast.
- Assesses changes in accounting treatment of projects in execution phase and prepares material for approval.
- Ensures project adherence to Revenue Recognition Board decisions.
- Responsible for the correctness of the actual reporting of sales, cost and balance sheet items for the assigned projects.
- Monitors and controls the project balance sheet and performs Netting exercise.
- Contributes to backlog verification for the assigned projects.
- Ensures compliance with Nokia accounting principles, reporting guidelines, processes, tools and internal controls within the project.
- Provides information to internal and external auditors on project financials.
- Supports PM/PMO organization on project performance review through insights on actual figures and accounting topics.
Key Skills And Experience
Required Professional Knowledge
- Basic knowledge of ERP, IFRS and RRB policy.
- Basic knowledge of the Nokia business and business drivers.
- Basic skills in corporate processes and tools.
- 0 to 3 years of relevant experience.
- Fluent English.
