Firewall Architect

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Firewall Architect to design, implement, and optimise our
- generation firewall infrastructure. This role involves shaping the architecture to enable secure location separation and
- based access while ensuring alignment with our security frameworks and standards. You will lead the strategic development of firewall solutions, oversee migrations, and act as the escalation point for complex troubleshooting.

What You Will Do

• Design and define the overall firewall architecture, including segmentation policies and
  - based firewalling.
• Develop and implement concepts for Check Point Identity Awareness and
  - based access control.
• Drive firewall migration projects, coordinating technical implementation and change management.
• Optimise and document firewall rule bases, ensuring policy lifecycle governance with tools like Tufin Secure
  Track and Secure
  Change.
• Oversee performance monitoring, log analysis, and reporting structures to enhance operational visibility.
• Support internal and external audits from an architectural perspective.
• Provide expert troubleshooting for Identity Awareness infrastructure and connectivity issues.

What You Bring

• Proven expertise in Check Point Firewall architecture and Identity Awareness.
• Hands-on experience with
  - based firewalling concepts and Cisco network environments.
• Strong background in cybersecurity and secure infrastructure design.
• Deep knowledge of TCP/IP (routing, protocols, ports, connection mechanisms, packet sequencing, dump analysis).
• Proficiency in log and protocol analysis for troubleshooting at an architectural level.
• Understanding of Microsoft Active Directory integration with firewall environments.
• Experience with log management and reporting frameworks (e. g. , Elasticsearch, ELK).
• Solid experience with
  - grade Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server environments.
