As a Fleet Controller, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the operational coordination of our fleet, ensuring all equipment is deployed efficiently and safely in accordance with client requirements and company procedures. This position is Monday to Saturday including up to 55 hr weeks. **You will be responsible for, but not be limited to:*** Answer incoming calls and record bookings accurately using the Job Enquiry Sheet, adhering to work instructions for machinery and labour hire. * Collaborate closely with the Operations Administrator to reconcile dockets and ensure accurate
- keeping. * Coordinate with the Workshop Manager to schedule and oversee servicing of all plant and equipment based on workshop schedules and processes. * Maintain supplier lists for subcontractors and cross hires, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. * Update and manage crane paperwork and maintain a daily booking sheet, scheduling work effectively. * Generate job numbers in the accounting system and record them on the daily booking sheet at the time of order. * Obtain purchase order numbers from customers or provide justification in the booking sheet where applicable. * Process and schedule client orders, assigning operators including drivers and riggers to jobs as required. * Assess job requirements for site inspections or supervision and facilitate as necessary. * Resolve operational issues raised by operators promptly and efficiently. * Maintain a register of all work docket books in the controller's office and authorize payment of cross hire invoices. * Crosscheck dockets against timesheets to ensure accurate allocation of hours and costs. * Collaborate with HR to maintain skills and induction matrices, advising on outdated information as necessary. * Purchase goods, services, and arrange cross hires in accordance with Freo Group's purchasing procedures if authorized. * Initiate and assist in resolving Discrepancy and Incident reports in line with QA/QC/Safety procedures. * Attend team meetings and liaise with HR to ensure sufficient qualified operators are available. * Log and report lost opportunities and jobs to the manager or appointed representative. * Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager or supervisors. * Provide excellent reception and client liaison, including
- hours support as agreed with the manager. * Prepare and manage administrative tasks such as billing system dockets and
- start checks for maintenance reviews. **Essential minimum criteria:*** Experience in a similar role, significant knowledge of cranes, plant and heavy machinery. * Experience in administration, project management or team coordination is highly regarded. * Sound communication skills, computer literacy,
