Founding Talent Partner
Candor is a VC-backed startup working with
- stage startups to help them find top engineering talent. We use our
- house technology to automate much of the recruiting process, moving much faster than the average recruiter. We do recruiting like a startup – we vet for startup culture fit and move at startup speed (delivering candidates in days, not weeks).
We’re a
- first team of 10 people, with a small office in Lisbon, Portugal. This role is hybrid and based in Lisbon, working from the office 3 days a week.
What you’ll be doing at Candor:
- You’ll spend about half your day on operations and product – everything from using AI software to build outbound lead lists to qualifying candidates who respond. The operational part of this role is a blended PM role, since you’ll be using our own product to source and qualify candidates.
- You’ll spend the other half of your day interviewing candidates for our open roles. We primarily work with startups that are hiring in engineering. You’ll vet candidates for startup hustle and culture fit, making sure we send candidates who are great fits to our customers.
- You’ll stay in close communication with hiring managers, founders of VC-backed early stage startups, and join weekly calls to review the candidate pipeline and keep the hiring process aligned.
- You will inform our product strategy, working directly with our founder to automate pieces of our recruitment funnel to be more efficient using our
- house tech. We’re building software using AI, so if you have an interest in how that works, you’ll be on the forefront of prioritizing our product roadmap. - You’ll collaborate with the rest of the Recruiting Ops team, sharing candidates and best practices, and working together towards closing our customers’ roles.
Role requirements:
- You have exceptional English skills (native or fluent) and have experience working in English-first roles.
- You’re a strong communicator, love meeting new people, and enjoy being customer/external facing.
- You’re the kind of person who never misses a
- up. You keep your
- do list tidy and stay on top of things. You have built processes and/or systems that keep operations running smoothly. - You’re creative and curious. Even if you don’t know the answer, you’re willing to dig deep to find it and can work autonomously in ambiguous environments.
- You’re generally
- forward and
- paced. You have experience in a startup, working on a tech product, or something similar.
