Position

We are seeking a FPGA Design Engineer for our Porto team. You will join our R&D department as part of an international team responsible for developing HBK’s new product portfolio, which serves applications across sectors such as Automotive, Electric Drives & Generators, Aerospace, Energy, Material Testing, and Service.

You will work closely with engineers in analog, digital, firmware, software, mechanical, and test design, supporting the full design lifecycle from concept to maintenance of active products.

Primary Responsibilities

You will be our
- to FPGA development engineer, responsible for designing innovative FPGA solutions for measurement devices, and helping set technical directions in collaboration with teams in Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, Portugal, and the USA.

Your daily tasks include:

• Developing FPGA architectures and realizations
• Implementing digital signal processing techniques
• Creating verification and validation strategies
• Working within agile teams (Scrum)
• Documenting designs and interfaces

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• At least 2 years of FPGA development experience
• Strong understanding of digital electronics and architecture
• Experience with digital signal processing
• Proficiency with Xilinx, Altera, or Microsemi toolchains, Modelsim, and Tcl scripting
• Experience with Altium Designer is a plus
