We are investing to build the best creator platform with the best team in the creator economy and are looking for a Fraud Operations Supervisor to support our mission. This role is based in Porto and open to those who can be
- office 2 days per week on a hybrid work model.
About the Team
We believe creators should be paid for the value they give to their fans. Patreon powers membership services for creators with established followings and provides insight, education, and tools to retain creative control while running their business so creators can focus on creating and energizing their fanbases.
We have paid over $10 billion directly to creators on our platform. To support growth, we are looking for a Fraud Operations Supervisor to join the Fraud Operations Team under the Payments department. The ideal candidate is a
- starter who can work independently or in a team, help keep user accounts safe while minimizing risk exposure and fraud losses, and supervise, motivate, and engage a
- performing team.
About the Role
- Responsible for achieving team objectives, maintaining team engagement, and creating career opportunities

- Mitigate risk exposure while maintaining a fair outcome for creators and fans on the platform
- Work with
- functional teams to identify and improve processes - Support reporting of information to relevant stakeholders
- Continuously scan the environment for financial crime threats and risks applicable to Patreon and ensure visibility and action
- Communicate clearly and with empathy both internally and externally
You will coach team members to achieve service level agreements while handling queues and responding to inbound requests. This includes assessing risk with new customers, changes to creator and fan risk profiles, investigating large transactions,
- related incidents, and unusual creator or fan behavior. Your role will supervise a highly motivated team to help build a

- class fraud system and a seamless experience for creators and fans using Patreon.
You will supervise a team of Patreon Fraud Operations investigators in all aspects of the role and act as the senior point of contact for the team. You will ensure the team is properly trained to support Patreon in the fight against financial crime and fraud, develop your team, and keep them engaged in their careers.
About You
- 1–2 years of supervisory or
- lead experience - Knowledge or experience analyzing large data sets, identifying patterns, and understanding behaviors in a money movement environment
- Critical thinking and investigation skills
- Adaptability to a rapidly changing fraud landscape
- Familiarity with case management, customer service, and analytics software
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Workspace (Gmail, Sheets, Docs)
- Ability to foster an open and collaborative team culture with high performance and engagement
- Time management skills
- Self-starter with comfort working in ambiguity
