Our client, a leading company in data engineering, is seeking a Freelance Data Engineer based in Lisbon. This freelance/contract role offers the opportunity to work in a
- paced, international environment, focusing on integrating data from billing, payroll, and customer systems. You will be instrumental in building and maintaining ETL pipelines and data infrastructure. If you have experience with modern data technologies and enjoy collaborative, dynamic settings, this role might be perfect for you.

Your Responsibilities

• Integrate data from billing, payroll, and customer management systems
• Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines for efficient data processing
• Develop and optimize data infrastructure using Databricks, Spark, Delta tables, and Unity Catalog
• Utilize APIs to extract and transform data from various sources
• Collaborate with
  - functional teams to understand data needs and deliver solutions
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve data processing and integration issues
• Support continuous improvement of data engineering practices

Desired Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer, especially in integrating billing, payroll, and customer systems
• Strong knowledge of Databricks, Spark, Delta tables, and Unity Catalog
• Hands-on experience with APIs and data integration from diverse sources
• Proficiency in designing and maintaining ETL pipelines
• Ability to work effectively in a
  - paced, international environment
• Strong
  - solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken
• Experience in a hybrid work model is advantageous
