Hiire is helping Condukt, a
- funded UK-based startup, hire a Full Stack Engineer for their new office in Porto.

The company

Our customer is a business identity platform that enables the onboarding of businesses of any size easily and instantly. Our products create trust for financial service providers (our customers) to seamlessly verify, onboard, and monitor businesses (their clients).

Position Overview

We are looking for a Full-Stack Engineer to join our team. You will be an early shaper of the design and architecture of the
- end and how it interacts with our core platform, working closely with the founding team to deliver significant value to our clients.

As an
- stage startup, we pride ourselves on our ability to build from scratch. We will be shipping code frequently and learning as we go while satisfying all critical security, performance, and uptime requirements for our clients.

Our leadership team has experience building products, scaling teams, and optimizing for growth, working with ambitious engineers from tech unicorns.

As one of the first engineering hires, you’ll have the opportunity to shape both the product and the engineering culture. You should be ready to move fast, embrace uncertainty, and wear different hats.

Responsibilities

• Design the core of our platform by building a robust, secure, and resilient data ingestion layer.
• Deliver
  - facing APIs and a UI portal for a
  - service product.
• Architect and build scalable, performant UIs using Next. js (React + SSR/ISR) and Tailwind CSS.
• Implement efficient data fetching strategies with React Query / SWR.
• Impact and shape the engineering culture by continuously improving software engineering practices and processes.

Qualifications

• Effective and
  - driven builder.
• 5+ years of experience building
  - stack applications with modern web technologies: Next. js (React + SSR/ISR), Type
  Script, Tailwind CSS, and React Query/SWR.
• 5+ years of experience building and owning a complete
  -
  - end technology stack (Backend, Frontend, CI/CD, Logging, Monitoring, Alerting).
• 3+ years of Python familiarity.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (or equivalent: AWS, Azure).
• Experience in designing
  - facing RESTful APIs and asynchronous architectures (e. g. , queues, pub/sub, lambdas, webhooks).
• Strong experience with relational database modeling (using Postgre
  SQL or My
  SQL).
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Familiarity with software engineering best practices, such as Dev
  Ops, and CI/CD.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in an agile environment.

It would be a plus if you have

• Experience writing web scrapers.
• Experience working with mocking, stubbing, and snapshot testing.
• Familiarity with Playwright, Vitest, and Zustand.
