Overview
A dynamic,
- market European private equity firm with offices across major financial hubs (and new locations planned for 2026) is setting up a European hub in Lisbon, enabling a greater balance of insourced operations and supporting the continued growth of the firm. Our client is an independent private management company that combines seasoned investment analysts with leaders from the sustainability research field. The role is based in Lisbon and supports colleagues in London and Luxembourg.
Responsibilities
- Conduct monthly reviews of financial information prepared by administrators, analysing variances and addressing unexpected movements.
- Prepare quarterly investor reporting, collaborating with administrators, Investor Relations and the team to ensure
- quality reporting to Limited Partners. - Deliver quarterly internal Management Information reports for senior leadership.
- Take ownership of
- end financial reporting for the funds, including drafting narrative sections, reviewing
- prepared financial statements, and managing the audit process. - Support the valuations process and partner with investment professionals to report on portfolio company performance.
- Respond to investor requests in close coordination with the Investor Relations team, providing detailed analysis and supporting external announcements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen processes and maintain a

- end audits, liaising with external auditors to resolve queries. - Provide
- hoc support across finance, investor relations, and investment teams.
Qualifications & Skills
- Qualified accountant (ideally Big 4 background) with approximately 4–7 years of experience.
- Previous exposure to financial services is preferred; Private Equity experience is not essential. Experience may come from within industry or professional services (e. g. , audit).
- Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting frameworks (IFRS, US GAAP or Lux GAAP).
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data and identify gaps in controls.
- Strong systems knowledge, with financial modelling skills considered a plus.
- Excellent written communication and reporting skills.
- Strong organisational abilities to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to other European offices.
Note: The role will involve regular travel to London and Luxembourg.
