About the Role
We are looking for a
Director – Fund Finance
to lead and expand the Finance teams across Lisbon, London, and Luxembourg. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for managing existing Fund Finance operations while also building out a new SPV Finance team in Lisbon. At full headcount, the combined team is expected to reach around 20 professionals.

Key Responsibilities
Fund Finance
- Lead the Fund Finance function, currently comprising 9 Fund Accountants and 2 Managers, while building out the Lisbon-based team.
- Drive continuous improvement within the team, supporting managers in their

- day responsibilities.
- Oversee reporting, forecasting, analysis, and financial statements for fund structures, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
- Take the lead on
- related transactions, ensuring smooth and efficient execution.
SPV Finance
- Build and scale a new SPV Finance function in Lisbon, expected to start with around 6 team members and grow significantly over time.
- Design and implement structures, systems, and processes to bring SPV accounting and reporting
- house from outsourced administrators.
- Develop scalable, efficient processes to manage a large number of SPVs.
Leadership
- Work closely with the Group Finance Director as part of the leadership team, contributing to strategy, efficiency, and organisational development.
- Provide overall leadership across finance, supporting both team growth and transformation.
- Represent and lead the Lisbon office alongside other local directors when required.
Internal Collaboration
- Partner with Investor Relations to support investor queries and ensure
- quality communication.
- Collaborate with Operations, specialist teams, and Investment teams to provide
- functional support.
- Contribute to fundraising activities, including participation in Due Diligence meetings.
External Collaboration
- Build and manage relationships with administrators to continuously refine the operating model.
- Support the audit process, including onboarding new auditors and ensuring smooth audit delivery.
Transformation
- Collaborate with the Director – Transformation to deliver change initiatives within Finance and Operations.
- Support wider transformation projects across the firm.
Skills & Experience
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage large,
- jurisdictional teams.
- Qualifications: Qualified accountant (preferably Big 4), with 12–15+ years of experience.
- Industry Experience: Funds experience essential (within fund managers or professional services, e. G. audit). Private Equity exposure beneficial but not mandatory.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong experience reporting under IFRS, US GAAP or Lux GAAP.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret financials, identify control gaps, and propose solutions.
- Systems: Strong systems expertise;
financial modelling skills are highly desirable.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication, including report writing.
- Organisation: Outstanding organisational skills, with the ability to manage diverse responsibilities.
Note: The role will involve regular travel to London and Luxembourg.
