Introduction

We are anticipating the upcoming opening of a Java Backend Engineer w/ AWS within our local tech team in Portugal.

What You Can Expect in This Role

• Work within an engineering culture emphasizing Clean Code, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and continuous refactoring.
• Contribute to building large, extendable software systems using Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Clean Architecture, and Object-Oriented Enterprise Design Patterns.
• Engage directly with
  - users and participate in the full product development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment, with a Dev
  Ops approach.
• Tech stack includes: Java 17+, Spring Framework, JUnit, Mockito, AWS, Dynamo
  DB, Docker, AWS ECS, Git
  Lab
  CI, Maven, Terraform, Gradle, Data
  Dog.

Your Essential Experience and Education

• 4+ years of experience designing and developing large software applications.
• Must-haves: Java; Spring Framework (or Quarkus); AWS development and architecture experience (or similar cloud solutions).
• Nice-to-haves: Docker; Dynamo
  DB; SQS/SNS; Lambda; Python; Java
  Script.
• Proven experience in building
  - quality software in teams and solving complex problems autonomously.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and full product lifecycle management.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in Portuguese and/or German is a plus.
