We are looking for a Cloud Architect Consultant (Cloud and Data) to join our Client's team on a remote working model from Portugal.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the implementation of cloud and data architectures within client environments, primarily on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Design and
- build streaming and batch ELT pipelines with CI/CD and testing frameworks.
Design CDC ingestion and marketing data integrations across Ad
Verity, GA4, CM360/DV360/SA360, and Ads Data Hub.
Manage and automate ETL/ELT deployments using Composer/Airflow, Cloud Build, and Git
Hub Actions.
Support governance, security, and compliance with IAM, VPC-SC, CMEK/KMS, DLP, policy tags, and regulatory standards (GDPR, PCI, HIPAA).
Implement data security and privacy solutions, including consent management and regional data residency.
Collaborate with data engineers, BI engineers, and media experts to deliver scalable reporting and data warehousing solutions.
Document solution designs, produce decision records, and communicate technical concepts to both technical and business stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering or architecture, with at least 3 years
- on designing production data platforms on GCP.
Proven expertise in cloud strategy, migration, and architecture on GCP.
Experience in batch ELT into Big
Query (GCS, Dataform/dbt, Big
Query DTS/STS) and streaming pipelines (Pub/Sub + Dataflow).
Strong background in data governance, security, and compliance (row/column-level security, policy tags, IAM, Dataplex/Data Catalog).
Demonstrated ability in Big
Query optimization, cost management, and performance tuning.
Strong skills in SQL and Python; exposure to Java
Script for marketing stack integration is beneficial.
Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform), CI/CD (Cloud Build, Git
Hub Actions), and orchestration (Composer/Airflow).
Experience with monitoring, logging, error reporting, and data quality tooling (e. g. , Great Expectations).
Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical topics.
Google Professional Data Engineer certification strongly preferred; Google Professional Cloud Architect or Cloud Engineer certifications are a plus.
Familiarity with Salesforce or SAP, Spark/Dataproc, and regulated environments is valued.
