General Ledger Accountant - Portugal

Position Overview

We are seeking a General Ledger Accountant to join our Corporate Finance team in the Central Europe Cluster. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounting activities for our entity in Germany, reporting to the Head of Corporate Finance based in Darmstadt, Germany.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage overall accounting,
  - end closing, financial controlling, and reporting for the entity.
• Perform account reconciliations, especially following acquisitions and system landscape integration.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and local GAAP for statutory reporting.
• Support system migration projects, including SAP S/4 HANA rollout and maintenance of current systems like DATEV and Financial Force.
• Conduct monthly provisions,
  - end closing activities, and financial reporting following IFRS standards.
• Ensure statutory requirements are met, including audits and tax reporting.
• Support colleagues across jurisdictions as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounting and financial controlling within a European, preferably German, legal entity.
• Knowledge of IFRS and German GAAP (HGB).
• Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus.
