- Looking for a Junior General Ledger Accountant to join their team.

- A multinational company building a new Regional Shared Service Centre.

Client Details

Our client is a large organization in the Automotive industry, with a global presence. The group is now preparing for the implementation of a new Regional Shared Service Centre.

Description

- Create and manage fixed asset records accurately within the system;

- Run and review depreciation calculations to ensure correctness and compliance;

- Identify lease agreements and maintain lease data for accurate accounting treatment;

- Close fixed asset subledger activities and reconcile with the general ledger to ensure alignment;

- Close andtransfer data from general ledger sources as part of the financial closing process;

- Record journal entries in a timely and accurate manner to reflect financial transactions;

- Review the trial balance to identify and resolve discrepancies or errors;

- Perform preliminary consolidation processes and conduct necessary checks to support reporting;

- Prepare external financial reporting and draft notes to the financial statements in compliance with regulatory standards;

- Ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations and preparing necessary documents for audits;

- Supporting the GL Tower Lead in the governance bodies with the internal clients (entities based in Spain and Portugal), preparing and
- up on KPIs reports, performance reports;

- Active contribution in process migrations from IBERIA countries to the SSC Porto (trainings, understanding local processes, process documentation).

Profile

- 2 to 4 years of experience in accounting, preferably in an SSC or GL close process;

- Knowledgeof accounting principles and financial standards;

- Ability to analyze financial data and resolve discrepancies;

- Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills for interacting with internal stakeholders;

- Proficiency in English;

- Ability to travel around Iberia Region for the first 2 to 3 months (migration period from local Spanish and / or Portuguese entities towards the SSC in Porto);

- Experience working in an SSC environment is a plus;

- Proficiency in any other European languages is a plus (French, Dutch, German, Polish, Spanish - Catalunya, English - Irish, etc).
